GKN Has A Significant Presence In The World of Aerospace

Following the acquisition of Pilkington Aerospace in October of 2003, GKN Aerospace services has created its new Transparency Systems operation through the integration   of the acquired business (Pilkington Aerospace) with its existing transparency activities (GKN ACT).  GKN ATS has created the No. 1 supplier of transparencies to the military market and the No. 2 supplier to the civil market.  In addition to these markets the business also supplies Bullet Resistant Glazings and locomotive windows.

We maintain fully approved test facilities and utilize our test ranges for bird impact, environmental, structural, and ballistic testing. We developed vertical integration capabilities for :
